Spouse Notes:

Winifred Gertrude Moulton Lowden was born near Waverly, Breemer county, Iowa, March 21 1869 to Freeman Stickney and Carrie Bryant Dunbar Moulton. When 4 years old they moved to Lincoln county territory of Dakota which later became part of the state of South Dakota. she grew up with the wilds of the prairies very close around as wolves and coyotes were plentiful there and Indians not many miles away and the prairie fires, grass hoppers, blizzards and Indian scares were a real tragedy in those days. She gave her life to her saviour in early childhood. She was married July 1885 to Eli Winfield Lowden and lived in Lincoln county for several years, then moving to Imboden, Arkansas for 2 1/2 years, then coming back to Lowden's home state and settled at LeRoy, Michigan.
