to Deerfield Twp., Livingston County he married Lillie and they set up
housekeeping in Oak Grove. for a time he ran a little store with a man
named Wood. and also carried mail with a horse and buggy. He
opened a garage to repair automobiles. He also built a generator so that
their house was the first in the area to have electricity.
the house was steadily enlarged, partly with the skill of Lige's
father will who lived with them. Lige's brother Ernie also lived with them
for a short time and remained with Lillie, after Lige's death, until his
