"John B. Hanna was commissioned from New York City to Northville, Michigan to assist with the supervision of the the building of the town's first Opera House. He became friends with a man named James K. Lowden and they formed a partnership. John B. Hanna, a stage Carpenter by trade and James K. Lowden did all types of Carpentry work.  Together they went through the town and made several repairs for the towns people and several upgrades etc.  It is all documented. They worked together for several years 1878-1880 and then John B. moved on to Coldwater Michigan and also the Detroit area.". ~ S.L.
