"Of Toledo, Ohio. At end of life lived in Otterbein Home, Lebanon, Ohio. Obit from Toledo Blade, 23 Dec 1970: Walter E. Lowden, formerly of Toledo, died Tuesday in the Otterbein Home, Lebanon, OH. He was 95. Born in Carleton, MI., Mr. Lowden had lived in Toledo more than 50 years, entering the home 7 years ago. He was a millwright at the old J. G. Kuehnle Lumber Co. for many years. He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. Surviving are his sons, Clayton G., and Kenneth S., both of Toledo; daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Hollopeter, of Toledo, Mrs. Kathryn Eder, of Newport, MI and Mrs. Donna Schurman, of Ashland, OH; 16 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Otterbein Home, with burial in Lebanon"
