Services at College Springs Tuesday; Served County on Board and as Farm Steward. Services will be held at College Springs on Tuesday afternoon for William B. Loudon, 75, who died at the Clarinda Municipal Hospital Saturday evening at about 5:30 o'clock. Mr. Loudon farmed in the College Springs and Clarinda vicinity until 1924 when he became member of the Page County Board of Supervisors. He served three 3-year terms and later was named steward of the county farm. He has been resident of Clarinda since, and has been ill for three years following a stroke. He was born in Creston but came to this area with his parents when he was but a year old. The funeral will be at the United Presbyterian church in College Springs at 2 o'clock with Rev. A.A. Kelsey in charge. The body will be at the Ray Loudon home and short services are to be held at the home. Burial will be in the College Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Loudon and three children and their families are among the survivors. A daughter, Mrs. Clarke (Ann) McComb, lives in Clarinda; the two sons being Ray of Blanchard and Ralph of Mt. Ayr. A grandson, Bob Loudon, has sent word that he will be able to come from Rome, NY, where he is stationed with the army; while another grandson, Don McComb, at San Antonio, Tex, is unable to get release for the trip. Others from a distance have not yet been heard from. Members of Nodaway Lodge No 140 A F & A M are asked to meet at the lodge hall here at 12:45 Tuesday afternoon that they Can attend the funeral in a body. |
